SpaceShipThree

The Scaled Composites SpaceShipThree (SS3) is a proposed spaceplane to be developed by Virgin Galactic and Scaled Composites if SpaceShipTwo is successful. The originally proposed vehicle mission was orbital spaceflight.^[1] As of 2008^[update], the company has scaled back those plans and articulated a design that would be a point-to-point vehicle traveling outside the atmosphere.^[2]

As of 2008^[update], the SpaceShipThree concept spacecraft will be used for transportation through point-to-point suborbital spaceflight. This service could provide, for example, a two-hour trip from London to Sydney. (Kangaroo Route)^[2]
